Alan Pope
Called to the Bar in 1972 following completion of his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, Alan Pope has been senior counsel to the firm since 2002. Alan's legal and political experience is extensive. During his tenure as a member of Provincial Parliament from 1977 to 1990, he held various cabinet positions including Minister of Health, Minister of Natural Resources, Attorney General and Minister Responsible for French Language Services. His cabinet committee experience includes Native Affairs, Resource Development, Social Development, Justice, and Public Accounts. His legal career has been highlighted by his expertise in corporate, commercial, real estate, aboriginal, and estate matters. Currently, Alan enjoys advising the firm's clients in these areas including matters related to shareholders disputes, corporate restructuring, aboriginal economic development, and natural resource development.
